Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial located near Normandy, France.

“You are not forgotten” On June 6th, 1944 Allied Troops landed near this location as part of the largest seaborne invasion in history, involving land, sea and air forces. Close to 160,000 troops helped make up this force. We are so very thankful for the sacrifices of the many who gave their all on this day. Of the over 16 million troops who served during WW II, there are only around 325,000 alive today. Of that number only a small percentage took part in the Normandy Landings on June 6th. On this date every year and every day, we stop to thank those who have served to protect our freedom and liberty. “We will never forget.” Photos by: Shiana Crosby, NWCA Honeybees #257.
