NWCA Memphis #119 sponsored the 6th Annual Independence Day Youth Parade onboard Naval Support Activity Mid-South on July 1st, 2019. Over 75 youth, Adult Workers from the base Child Development Center, Parents and NWCA Club Members participated in this fun event. Participants gathered at the street crossover bridge just South of the Splash Park area. Each was given an American Flag as a souvenir. Following a welcome by the Child Development Center Leader, the parade began and proceeded through the local base housing area. Support vehicles from the base Fire Department and Security Force Team helped guide the group. The youth then enjoyed a great time at the base Splash Park area where they were awarded popsicles and other Independence Day treats to enjoy and share. Thanks to all who participated in this annual Patriotic event and to Memphis #119 for helping organize the activities.
